Our Team of Ang'iya

Medical Mission Sisters Mien, Gaudencia and Christine started to work in a health programme providing basic health services in a remote rural area of Homa Bay, near Lake Victoria. They operated a small dispensary, offer child welfare and antenatal and midwifery services, and carry out voluntary testing and counselling for HIV/AIDS.

In the mean time they are supported by their younger sisters comming from different corners of Africa. They assist in the outreach programme and other health services in the villages, so as home visits to patients with AIDS and women groups.

The sisters train community health workers, from among the people of surrounding villages for home based care for people who are infected with HIV. Conected to the community of Ang'iya is sister Brenda Lung'asto working in Kaplong mission hospital.

On the right hand side the community of Ang'iya is present at the photo.
Below you see some impressions of the surrounding of the house of the Mission Sisters, also you'll see a film of 2006 made by Sister Mien.
